Eckleburg faculty, Colleen Morrissey, was born in Omaha, Nebraska. She achieved her B.A. in English with a creative writing concentration at the University of Iowa. She achieved her M.A. in English at the University of Kansas, and she is currently a Ph.D. candidate in English at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Her story “Good Faith” has won an O. Henry Prize and is included in The O. Henry Prize Stories 2014, out now. The same story was named as a Best American Short Stories 2013 Notable. Her story “Loveland” recently won first runner-up in the Tennessee Williams Fiction Contest. Her fiction, nonfiction, and poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in The Southeast Review, Cincinnati Review, and others.
